ഗ്രാൻഡ് സെന്ട്രൽ ടെർമിനൽ യു. എസിലെ ന്യൂയോർക്ക് സിറ്റിയിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. 1903-ൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഈ റെയിൽവേസ്റ്റേഷന് 44 പ്ലാറ്റുഫോമുകളാണുള്ളത്. പ്ലാറ്റുഫോമുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ലോകത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ റെയിൽവേസ്റ്റേഷൻ എന്ന ബഹുമതി ഇതിനുണ്ട്. മെട്രോ-നോർത്ത് റെയിൽവേയിൽ ന്യൂയോർക്കിലെ വെസ്റ്റ്ചെസ്റ്റർ , പുട്ട്നം , ഡച്ചെസ് കൗണ്ടികൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക് ടെർമിനൽ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു. ആംട്രാക്ക് കണക്ഷനുകൾ വഴി ഗ്രാൻഡ് സെന്ട്രൽ അഡിരോൺഡാക്ക് , എമ്പയർ സർവീസ് , എത്താൻ അല്ലെൻ എക്സ്പ്രസ് , മാപ്പിൾ ലീഫ് സേവനങ്ങൾ ലഭ്യമാണ്. ഗ്രാൻഡ് സെൻട്രൽ-42nd സ്ട്രീറ്റിലെ ന്യൂയോർക്ക് സിറ്റി സബ്വേയിലെ ടെർമിനലിൽ ഒരു കണക്ഷനും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

ഗ്രാൻഡ് സെൻട്രൽ ടെർമിനലിന്റെ വിദഗ്ദ്ധ വാസ്തുവിദ്യയും ഇന്റീരിയർ ഡിസൈനും അതിനെ പല ദേശീയ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട് . 2013 ൽ 21.9 മില്യൺ സന്ദർശകരാണ് റെയിൽവേ, മെട്രോ യാത്രക്കാർ ഒഴികെയുള്ളത്.

അമേരിക്കൻ ദീർഘദൂര യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് വേണ്ടി ന്യൂയോർക്ക് സെൻട്രൽ റെയിൽറോഡ് ഗ്രാൻഡ് സെൻട്രൽ ടെർമിനൽ നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. 1991 വരെ ടെർമിനൽ അംട്രാക്കും സേവനം അനുഷ്ടിച്ചിരുന്നു. എംപയർ സംവിധാനത്തിന്റെ കണക്ഷൻ പൂർത്തിയായതിനുശേഷം അടുത്തുള്ള പെൻസിൽവാനിയ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ സേവനം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. 2017 വേനൽക്കാലത്ത്, ലിമിറ്റഡ് അംട്രാക്കും സേവനം നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. 2018 , പെൻ സ്റ്റേഷൻ നിർമ്മാണം നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ന്യൂ യോർക്ക് അംട്രാക്ക് സർവീസ് നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ലോംഗ് ഐലൻഡിൽ റെയിൽറോഡ് ടെർമിനലിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ ഈസ്റ്റ് സൈഡ് ആക്സസ് പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിച്ചു.

ഗ്രാന്റ് സെൻട്രൽ 48 ഏക്കർ (19 ഹെക്ടർ) സ്ഥലത്തിൽ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു. ലോകത്തിലെ മറ്റേതൊരു റെയിൽറോഡ് സ്റ്റേഷനെക്കാളും ഇതിന് 44 പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളുണ്ട്. പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകൾ ഭൂമിയ്ക്ക് താഴെയായി 30 ട്രാക്കുകളും ഉപരിതലത്തിൽ 26 എണ്ണം ഉള്ളതിൽ, പാസഞ്ചർ സർവ്വീസിനായി 43 ട്രാക്കുകൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളിലൂടെയും ട്രെയിൻ യാർഡുകളിലൂടെയും ട്രാക്കുകളുടെ എണ്ണം 100 കവിയുന്നു. ഇവയെല്ലാം പൊതുവായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാത്തതും എന്നാൽ റെയിൽ യാർഡിനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. ഗ്രാന്റ് സെൻട്രൽ ടെർമിനൽ മെട്രോപോളിറ്റൻ ട്രാൻസ്പോർട്ട് അതോറിറ്റിയുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ളതല്ല. എന്നാൽ മിഡ്ടൗൺ ടി.ഡി.ആർ വെഞ്ചറസ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു സ്വകാര്യ കമ്പനിയുടേതാണ്.
