പക്ഷിപ്പനി
പക്ഷികളെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വൈറസ് രോഗമാണ്‌. പക്ഷിപ്പനി. (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Avian flu, Bird flu) പക്ഷികളിൽ വരുന്ന ഒരുതരം വൈറൽ പനിയാണിത്. ഏവിയൻ ഇൻഫ്‌ലുവൻസ വൈറസാണ് പനിക്ക് കാരണമാകുന്നത്. പെട്ടെന്ന് പടരുന്നതിനാൽ പക്ഷികൾ കൂട്ടത്തോടെ ചാകും. മനുഷ്യരിലേക്ക് രോഗം പടരാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നുള്ളതാണ് പക്ഷിപ്പനിയുടെ പ്രത്യേകത. രോഗബാധിതരായ പക്ഷികളുമായി അടുത്ത സമ്പർക്കം പുലർത്തുന്ന മനുഷ്യർക്ക് പക്ഷിപ്പനി, കോഴി തൊഴിലാളികളെപ്പോലുള്ള അണുബാധകൾ ഉണ്ടാകാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. വൈറസ് ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ കണ്ണിലോ മൂക്കിലോ വായിലോ കടക്കുമ്പോഴോ ശ്വസിക്കുമ്പോഴോ ഇത് സംഭവിക്കാം. പക്ഷികളിൽ നിന്നും മനുഷ്യനിലേക്ക് പടർന്നു പിടിക്കുന്ന ഈ രോഗം 2003 ൽ ഏഷ്യയാകെ ഭീതി വിതയ്ക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. മനുഷ്യനിലും പന്നിയിലും ജ്വരം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഓർത്തോമിക്സോ വൈറസുകളിൽ ചിലത് ഘടനാവ്യത്യാസം വരുത്തി പക്ഷികളിലും ജീവിക്കാൻ കഴിവുനേടിയതാണ്‌ പക്ഷികളിലും ഈ അസുഖമുണ്ടാവാൻ കാരണം.പക്ഷി പനിക്ക് കാരണമായ വൈറസ് ആണ് H5N1(Highly pathogenic avian influenza virus A)- [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
കേരളത്തിൽ[തിരുത്തുക]
2014 നവംബറിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ ഒന്നിലധികം ജില്ലകളിൽ പക്ഷിപനി പടർന്നുപിടിച്ചിരുന്നു.ആലപ്പുഴ, ഇടുക്കി പാലക്കാട് തൃശ്ശൂര് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി ജില്ലകളില് ഇത് ഭീതി പരത്തി.
2020- മാർച്ചിൽ കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ വേങ്ങേരിയിലും മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ പരപ്പനങ്ങാടിയിലും പക്ഷിപനി ബാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
