പ്രോസ്റ്റാഗ്ലാൻഡിൻ EP3 റിസപ്റ്റർ (53kDa), ഇപി 3 എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു, മനുഷ്യ ജീൻ PTGER3 എൻകോഡ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള പ്രോസ്റ്റാഗ്ലാൻഡിൻ E2 (PGE2) പ്രോസ്റ്റാഗ്ലാൻഡിൻ റിസപ്റ്റർ ആണ്.[1]ഇത് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള നാല് ഇപി റിസപ്റ്ററുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. മറ്റുള്ളവ EP1, EP2, EP4 എന്നിവയാണ്. ഇവയെല്ലാം PGE2- നും സെല്ലുലാർ പ്രതികരണങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും മധ്യസ്ഥം ആയി പ്രതിപ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാൽ പൊതുവേ ചെറിയ ഘടനാസാദൃശ്യവും പ്രതികരണവുമൊക്കെയുള്ള പ്രോസ്റ്റാനോയിഡുകൾ (പ്രോസ്റ്റാഗ്ലാൻഡിൻ റിസപ്റ്റർ കാണുക).ആണ്.[2] ഇപി വിവിധതരം ശാരീരികവും രോഗകാരകവുമായ പ്രതികരണങ്ങളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.[3]
