ഹംഗറി (Hungarian: Magyarország; IPA: [mɒɟɒrorsaːg]; listen^ⓘ) എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ഓഫ് ഹംഗറി ഒരു മദ്ധ്യയൂറോപ്യൻ രാജ്യമാണ്‌. ^[3]കരഭൂമിയാൽ അതിരുകൾ തീർക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു രാജ്യമാണ്വ ഹംഗറി. കാർപ്പാത്തിയൻ(Carpathian) മലയടിവാരങ്ങളിൽ 93,030 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്നു. പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഓസ്ട്രിയ, വടക്ക് സ്ലോവാക്യ, കിഴക്കും തെക്കുകിഴക്കും റുമാനിയ,വടക്കുകിഴക്ക്‌ ഉക്രൈൻ, തെക്ക് സെർബിയ,തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറ് ക്രൊയേഷ്യ,സ്ലോവേനിയ എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളാണ് ഹംഗറിയുമായി അതിർത്തി പങ്കിടുന്നത്.^[4] ബുഡാപെസ്റ്റ് ആണ്‌ ഹംഗറിയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനം. ഒ.ഇ.സി.ഡി.,എൻ.എ.ടി.ഒ.,യൂറോപ്യൻ യൂനിയൻ എന്നീ സംഘടനകളിൽ ഈ രാജ്യം അംഗമാണ്‌. ഇവിടുത്തെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷ ഹംഗേറിയൻ(മഗ്യാർ) ആണ്‌. ഇന്തോ യൂറോപ്യൻ ഉത്ഭവമല്ലാത്ത, യൂറോപ്യൻ യൂനിയനിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷകളിൽ അംഗമായ നാലു ഭാഷകളിലൊന്നാണ്‌ ഹംഗേറിയൻ.
